This is My Year by Woodes #Inspiration

This is a great song to think about in 2021. Things seem to be looking up in our future post-COVID and there are so many things that were put off, put on hold, or went out the proverbial window last year. You may have made some New Years Resolutions, are you keeping them? What is it that you will different this year? What is going to make 2021 memorable?

Elle Graham, also known as Woodes, is an Australian musician, singer-songwriter and producer from Melbourne, Australia. She has the most beautiful voice!

“This is My Year” lyrics by Woodes:

I said I’d be there
Forgot to remember
I said I would call
But I wrote you a letter
It’s inside my head, return to sender
I said I would change
But now it’s December

I keep my hopes on the shelf
I’ve been so down, oh well

This is my year
So worth the wait
Everything starts going my way
This is my year
That’s what they say
Till we wake up on new years day
This is my year

I’ll visit my dad
I’ll go on vacations
I’ll cherish my mom
I’ll get motivation
I’ll learn to forgive
I’ll try to be patient
I’ll live on the edge
I’ll start conversations

I’ve been so down, oh well

This is my year
So worth the wait
Everything starts going my way
This is my year
That’s what they say
Till we wake up on new years day
Saying
I’ll be so strong
I’ll eat so well
I’ll get some sleep
Look after myself
Yeah, that’s what they say
Till we wake up on new years day
This is my year

This is my year
So worth the wait
Everything starts going my way
This is my year
That’s what they say
Till we wake up, on new years day
Saying
I’ll be so strong
I’ll eat so well
I’ll get some sleep
Look after myself
Yeah, that’s what they say
Till we wake up, on new years day
This is my year
This is my year
This is my year
