Lily King’s “Euphoria” was a fascinating story of a love triangle between three anthropologists in the 1940s studying a native tribe in the South Pacific.
King’s character development of the anthropologists, an American woman, an Australian man, and a Scottish man with their own unique personality and style, she contrasts their differences with how they see the culture they are studying and put themselves into that view.
I enjoyed this story as their experiences, desires and past are all weaved into a building crescendo.
