Charles Yu’s new book “Interior Chinatown” was amazing.
It is a story of stereotypes, performance, and blending in, in America. It is about finding your way in a world of racism and discrimination. It is profound and humorous. It is thoughtful in a way that helps us look at things in a new way, how we see ourselves or define ourselves.
It is a story about the question of “Who is American?” which leads to the most important question of “Why?”
I loved it. There is a lot to think about here which should lead to some important conversations.
