The next time
I will go into it
with eyes wide open.
I will not
fall for
the first person
who shows an interest.
The first woman
with a pretty face
and a need.
I care about myself
too much now.
I can see my worth
and potential
clearly for once.
I deserve someone
who is honest with herself
who wants to grow
who knows how to love
who can give and take
who can communicate her hurt
who can own her issues
I am worth it.
