I made this sketch tinkering around with a piece of printer paper and my blue ink ballpoint pen. It was hard to get all the detail because I made it a little too “light.”
I think for me it is important that I am constantly connecting with and experimenting with art in all forms. Sketching, painting, creating different things, expanding my horizon when it comes to making new pieces of art. I am not saying that what I’ve made is “gallery-worthy” but each step adds up to a cumulative artistic ability.
What are you working on? What have you created recently?

I did a sketch..uploaded with post. Yea its lovely to watch the process and that you care to share. I used to be oh so private with my sketch pad, or canvas. I’ve done an art series recently, zapped me I’ll say. Hey good to connect with kindred soul here. Great site.

Love this post Jason – I think all creativity stems from and feeds back to the same source within us. As we free ourselves to write, so we feel like painting and drawing and cooking – it is all creativity and I love it all.

On Monday I sent in my contribution to the “Brooklyn Sketchbook Project” (https://www.sketchbookproject.com/). First attempt at doing something where I combined the visual with the written. It’s “I’m Fine” – #S263320, Project: The Sketchbook Project Vol 15 and as soon as it’s digitized, I’ll be sharing it on I Write Her. I wouldn’t call myself an artist though but I wanted to try something new. 🙂
