I love Forrest Frank. His upbeat, sometimes rap or R&B, usually pop songs, are very encouraging and great to sing along to. This one is a bit different than the rest of the songs he typically produces, but it is so powerful.

Jesus is not afraid of the pain and the trouble we go through. Sometimes when someone asks how you are doing, they probably don’t really want to know, they just want to hear “fine.” But Jesus actually cares about you. He cares about how you’re feeling and he comforts you when you go through trials and some hard stuff. Things like shame, fear, rejection, failure, he is right there with you.

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens—Jesus the Son of God—let us hold fast to our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. 16 Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.

Not just sin and temptation, but Jesus was rejected by the people he came to deliver and to save. They spit on him, had him beaten, and ultimately, crucified. Even the disciples, who were with him through about four years of ministry, where they witnessed miracles, heard his message, and even in the upper room was told about all that would happen. Ran away and left him in his greatest time of need. He can empathize with what you are going through. He knows how it feels and he can comfort you. No matter what you go through.
