I am writing again! And that’s a good thing. Writing poetry for me is definitely something that ebbs and flows. I will have seasons where I can write 3, 5, 7 or more poems in a single day and the creative juices are flowing. In other seasons, I feel a bit bored of writing and not into it, so trying to pick up a pen and notebook to write feels more like a chore.

I am a firm believer in the adage, “writers write” and even if I am not writing poems to share here, most days I am journaling. But for now, I feel like I am excited to write new poems about where I am at, what’s going on, and I want to share them.

I know I am close to having enough poems to publish another collection, but for the moment, that seems like it might be too big an undertaking.

This post is just a post to celebrate the start of a new writing season! Yay!
