autumn wind blowing
loosening leaves
for the pending storms
foreboding of a harsh winter
death and desolation
a bitter cold
trees would not survive it
in full leaf
the blowing wind of fall
marks the beginning
of the end
of this season
days of grief
mourning what’s lost
the year coming to a close
awaiting new hope
