Every Storms Runs Out of Rain – Maya Angelou #Inspiration #Quote #Journey

Every storm runs out of rain.

-Maya Angelou

I love this quote! Guess what, the storms of life come! That’s a given. No one gets out of it. Everyone goes through difficult times. It doesn’t matter how much or how little you have. It doesn’t matter what you do to avoid the trouble. Trouble will find you.

But storms do not last forever. They may last a few days, weeks, months, maybe longer, but they do not go on forever.

Weather the storm.

Stick through it and don’t give up. The storms of life actually make you more resilient, you can persevere through more difficult challenges after you’ve weathered a few storms. You become stronger, more compassionate, more empathetic, and you can support those around you when their turn comes.

Last thing, if you are in the middle of a storm, don’t feel like you have to do it alone. Reach out to friends, family, or other people who can help you get through this hard time. It might be overwhelming now, but once the storm passes you will have a new perspective.

You can do it!

  1. That is a pretty great quote and a good reminder that no matter how bad things get, it’ll eventually get better. You’re right, storms don’t last forever. All we can do is find ways to deal with it so when the next storm comes around, we’re more prepared.

  2. Great reminder, and reminds me of one of my favorite songs by The Oh Hellos: “I Have Made Mistakes.” The line I’m thinking of is, “And the sun it does not cause us, the sun it does not cause us to grow; It is the rain that will strengthen, the rain that will strengthen your soul – it will make you whole.” The whole song is great and connects to what you’ve shared.
