I don’t want to be friends
after a breakup
there’s too much pain
my guard is like a fortress
there’s no room for meaningful conversations
you will never get near my heart again
I don’t understand
someone getting back together
did the person who broke it off
have a change of heart?
why would this time
be any different?
we can be cordial and polite
but some parts of me
will never be yours again
