This is a unique collaboration between Maverick City Music and Bryan & Katie Torwalt called, “Jubilee.” The first verse is a loose paraphrase of Isaiah 61:1-2. This was what Jesus Christ declared when he entered the synagogue in Nazareth to initiate his ministry recorded in Luke 4:14-20. Isaiah 61’s prophecy of Jesus’ coming and ministry is an apt description of what jubilee means:

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;
