I find my heart again
deep in the woods
on the trail
to a hidden reality
a place inhabited by wild animals
the noise of nature
floods my mind
new thoughts of next
drown out what was
my heart beats again
full and expectant
for what is yet to come
hope ascends
like the sunrise
dissolves the morning fog
