Apparently, the grocery stores in Colorado think that seafood is a romantic Valentine’s Day option for eating in amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
I usually enjoy eating seafood, when I am near the coast like in Florida or California, but the seafood they truck into Colorado is not particularly fresh in my experience. Maybe they are thinking the more money you spend on Valentine’s Day the more romantic it is. Is that why roses cost like $50/dozen in February?
I don’t know. I don’t have to worry about it this year.
I love Jim Gaffigan’s bit on vegetarian eating from his “Beyond the Pale” act. That act was his best one in my opinion and it has stood the test of time.
What do vegetarians do for Valentine’s Day? Just eat chocolate strawberries? Maybe they make a roasted cauliflower “steak”? There have been very short “seasons” where I’ve only eaten fruit and veggies, but I can’t seem to keep it up for more than a couple weeks. I am ALWAYS hungry when I am not eating meat. Don’t judge me 😁
Do you have any plans for Valentine’s Day this year during COVID? Let me know! Share in the comments.
