What a funny guy! Colin Jost’s “A Very Punchable Face” was a hoot! I loved his funny stories and his crazy capers. It was a good memoir of growing up on Staten Island, going to Regis High School in New York City, getting a degree in the History of Literature of Russian and Britain at Harvard University, and the rest of the book focused on his fifteen years as a writer at SNL and a reporter of fake news for the Weekend Update.
The memoir had minimal details about his relationship with fiancee Scarlett Johansson, which I didn’t mind. But it was funny to hear his stories at SNL and some of the skits he wrote for the show. There were lots of laugh-out-loud moments that you seem to just shake your head and think, “Really?! That’s crazy!”
Overall, it was better than most comedian celebrity memoirs and was a great diversion to pass the time.
