It was so sad to learn yesterday of the sudden and tragic helicopter crash that took the life of legendary basketball player Kobe Bryant.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Vanessa Bryant, and his three surviving daughters, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
An animated short film, “Dear Basketball,” served as a tribute marking the end of his professional basketball career. The short film was unveiled at the retirement of both of his numbers, 8 and 24, at the Los Angeles Lakers’ home arena, the Staples Center in 2017.
The animated short won the Oscar for the Best Animated Short Film the same year.
Rest in peace.

Lovely tribute, Jason–I’m not much of a sports fan (except rodeo), but I was touched by the news of Kobe and his daughter’s sudden deaths too soon.
