“Angela’s Christmas,” a thirty minute CGI-animated short film, streaming on Netflix, has been out for a few years. It was first released in 2017.
This film is a short “holiday special” that packs a powerful punch. The plot revolves a sweet girl, Angela, a poor young girl from Limerick in Ireland in the early 1910s is determimed to ensure that baby Jesus, a doll from the nearby church, is warm on Christmas.
The message of the film is moving. It is about the power of family and this thoughtful young girl’s pure desire that everyone around her feels loved, safe, and warm for Christmas.
The film was directed by Damien O’Connor, based on the children’s book by Frank McCourt.
