What I didn’t know
Had killed me
What I was unaware of
Was eating me from the inside
Only your needs were important
I wasn’t able to have a bad day
My emotions were hidden
Beneath lock and key
A shroud of shame
Hung above my head
Releasing myself from you
Unlocked my freedom

Yeah, it kind of stinks, but when you call it like it is, it helps you heal.
