“Sad Birds Still Sing” by the anonymous Instagram poet Faraway (@farawaypoetry), was an inspiring collection of poetry that speaks to me going through a recent breakup. There was so much hope and promise.

Many, many lines were filled with life to try again, to never give up, to sing amidst the sadness you might find yourself in. While he speaks at lengths of feelings and love and pain, he also combats those emotions with reality. He speaks to the reality that we still have a sense of control over our future to make decisions and choices even when life gets hard. It is a mix of both the heart, the head, and the will that make up each person’s life.

I loved this collection. I think it will be one I will return to again and again in the different seasons of life.

I received this as an eBook from Central Avenue Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review of the title. I did not receive any compensation from either company. The opinions expressed herein are completely my own.
