Ted Alvarez stole my next book idea. His newest book, “The Wilderness Idiot” is my kind of book.

It is about looking for adventure outdoors and saying, “Yes!”

I just started the book so this isn’t my “official” review, but I don’t think it will take me long to finish. After the first essay I read, I was hooked. He starts the book as he is floating in the air after blindly jumping off an 88-foot cliff on a dare from friends into a crystal lake in Colorado.

He just can’t say, “No.”

But it is these experiences that are stupid or scary or out of the ordinary that form you, that make you into the man or woman you are. Don’t let them pass you by!
