Dang, Jason! You actually hit on something here. Tomorrow is the 25th anniversary of my divorce. It would seem that it wouldn’t matter anymore but it always will. Dates on a calendar are more than just dates; they remind us. I’ll admit that that old sadness returns around this time of year-too many memories pile up at the doorstep of summer. I just have to keep moving forward, look the past square in the face though. Sweeping sadness under the rug or suppressing it only makes it worst. Allow yourself to feel the sadness; I let myself feel the sadness and then I can move on from it (until it creeps back up like a bad rash!) There is light at the end of the tunnel though. Always is. Please say a prayer for me; I will pray for you. Have a blessed week!
Thank you Jenny, I am praying for you. For me, the memories are more from places I visit. I try to recognize the sadness that shows up, recognize the memory and now the sadness, and move on. I hope your week is amazing!
Thanks, Jason. Prayer is powerful and I appreciate your prayers. Life can be difficult to say the least; it’s so important to have a faith community. Have an amazing week as well.

I understand. I still see dates that cause me to pause.
