“Pain is inevitable
It’s how you choose to heal that matters” -Samantha King, Born to Love, Cursed to Feel
I started a new book of poetry by Samantha King called “Born to Love, Cursed to Feel.”
I am came across these lines from Ms. King as what seemed like words to a hurting friend. As you read through “Born to Love, Cursed to Feel,” you can’t help but have empathy for the poet. There was much love and loss and grief.
Yet this poem from one hurting and healing friend to another, not as far down the road, was a beautiful picture of what it means to love one another. The struggles and pain you face are never done in vain. You can learn and change and move on, but also you can reach down to pick up your hurting friend in their time of need.
I have been so encouraged by many of you who have reached down to pick me up in hard times. Your timely words and safe advice has saved me from some even darker times I’ve managed to avoid.
Thank you friends.
So far I am really enjoying Ms. King’s poems, which I plan to review when I finish the collection in the coming days.

Enjoy the book’s journey. I am reading a bio about entertainer Bob Hope, and tales from his life bring me humor and some new insights.
