Clothespin and Safety Pins #Art #Drawing

I am continuing to work my way through Heather Ross‘ second chapter, “Anyone Can Draw” on Creativebug.

Today’s subjects were a clothespin and safety pins. This was a fun simple exercise I did with my kids, who were sitting at the kitchen table with me. I feel like when I was working on these I didn’t like what I saw.

Now, looking at them again, they are more pleasing to the eye than I remember.

The class continues to be a fun exercise with lots of tips and pointers, and, most importantly, it provides more opportunities to practice with the hope of always improving.

What do you think?

  1. I think it’s amazing–and admire your interest in learning something new. I tend to just stay with the position that “I can’t” or “I’m not good at” whatever…however, last year I did budge from the notion that I couldn’t keep plants alive: of the 10 I purchased and tried to nurture, I only lost 2–the rest are thriving fairly well 🙂 (It’s the Christian music and Bible teaching on TV, I’m sure 🙂 )
