God will Restore, Confirm, Strengthen and Establish You #1Peter #Inspiration

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. -1 Peter 5:10 (ESV)

The troubles of this life are fleeting and momentary compared to eternity.

Even if your sufferings last for days, weeks, months, years, even if they last your entire life, this life is not temporary. It only is about 80 years if you are lucky. Sometimes more and sometimes less. Compared just to the entire span of history, this is nothing, and there is much more than to come.

The passage above is in reference to resisting the devil and his schemes to destroy your life. Resist him. Do not let his schemes sidetrack your life. He may make things difficult for you, but his power is very limited compared to God’s power.

Then look what God himself will do in your life: Restore, Confirm, Strengthen, and Establish you. What a wonderful promise that is! I want some! Thank you God for your faithfulness in my life.

  1. Jason I love this passage of scripture. I have been going through a journey where I have realized that Grace is so much more than I could imagine…
It is so easy to use the word Grace in the Christian world. I realize now that if the true meaning of Grace was unleashed in the church or more to the point in MY life…well there is just no words…
So here is the thing…This writer, Preston Sprinkle writes this, “Grace is the most dangerous, expectation-wrecking, smile-creating counter-intuitive reality there is.” That sentence grabbed at my gut. He went on to say the Grace of God ” has no leash.”
“Divine Grace is God’s relentless loving pursuit of His enemies, who are unthankful, unworthy, and unlovable.”
Grace is a gift for the person in the gutter, the outcast, the unattractive, and yes even a church full of self-righteous misguided believers (praise God he love self-righteous people too!!!) “
