The Lord Will Fight For You #Exodus14 #Inspiration

Exodus 14--13-14

And Moses said to the people, “Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” – Exodus 14:13-14 (ESV)

When (messy) relationships end there is a lot of hurt to go around. There is finger-pointing, there is soul-searching to figure out why this happened. Oftentimes, people outside the relationship poke their nose into things too, increasing all of the drama. Adding divorce into the equation just ups the ante. It’s all so exhausting.

A wonderful friend today prayed the verse above over me. Through all this, it was clear to me that I didn’t need to defend myself or throw out a bunch of accusations, but I just needed to continue to remain silent and trust the Lord. God has carried me through this and He has always been faithful up to this point, so why shouldn’t I trust him the rest of the way? I am never going to say that I was perfect and I am truly working through my past, my childhood, my ways of relating, nebulous boundaries, and so much more to experience true, lasting healing and to attain more wholeness in my life.

The way that I am proceeding I have integrity with myself, with others who may inquire about things and with God. I have peace about the way that I am carrying on, and to me, that is all that I need. I believe God will fight for me as necessary and that He has my back through it all.
