Yes, yes, I know… I am quoting myself. LOL 😁

I just had this amazing epiphany about God and His sovereignty. Ultimately, He is the one in charge. He is the one with all the power. Even if our life gets sidetracked and off course, He can still get us to where He wants us to go. He can get us to where He wants us to be, even when we mess up.

Our failures and mistakes have consequences that He will not bail us out of and instead let us endure those painful consequences. However, those too help us to get to where He wants us to be. Hopefully, we only have to endure the consequences of our failures once, and learn from our mistakes instead of repeating them.

God getting us to the “destination” He has in mind for our lives is His job. We can aid the process by obeying God’s Word and following His lead, but He can still do it when we disobey and we stray and we get ourselves into trouble. He is able to do it and He is willing to do it and He is faithful to do it in our lives.

Part of the destination in our lives is our sanctification. He is making us holy and whole. He is cutting away the bad stuff and replacing it with the good stuff. But, He also has other plans for our lives that we don’t even know about. Those things He is faithful to bring to fruition even despite of us. He is so good to us in that.

Thank you Lord! Thank you for your mercy and grace. Thank you most importantly for your faithfulness to us.
