“Peace of God” by Housefires featuring Ahjah Walls #Peace #Inspiration #God

I love this song “Peace of God” by Housefires featuring Ajhah Walls. It has been a bit of a rollercoaster week so far this week, and in the midst of it, I was looking at some of my recommendations on Spotify and came across this album, “Chapel Sessions (Vol. 2)” and this was the first song on the EP.

Instantly, all of the worry, the cares, the fears and the junk that had been trying to invade my thoughts were taken captive. I could see clearly who God is and how He cares for me and how He is above all of that other stuff trying to derail me. I knew what I had to do in that moment: Lay it down at Jesus’ feet. I don’t have control or power over those things, but God is sovereign. His hand is in control of it all. And I can trust Him. I can trust that He knows what is best for me. He knows all that I need. He cares for my every need at all times. I returned to Him to be my peace in that moment and I felt His presence.

I can trust God’s sovereignty more that anything else on this earth.

“Peace of God” Lyrics – Written by Dante Bowe, Cody Carnes, Jacob Sooter, Mia Fieldes

VERSE
I’ve seen the lowest valley
Endured darkest the night
It seemed I was forsaken
But You were by my side

VERSE
I’ve stood before the mountains
Too great for me to climb
Yet in face of giants
I’ve learned to lift my eyes
I’ve learned to lift my eyes

CHORUS
Come what may
Come what will
Sovereign hands they hold me still
I put my faith
I put my trust
In this alone
The peace of God

VERSE
The battle may be raging
The way may be unknown
But even in the waiting
I will tell my soul
Yes, I will tell my soul

BRIDGE
All of my worries
All of my doubts
All of my sorrows
I’m laying down

Over the chaos
Over the drought
Over the trial
I’m calling out

I know You’ll save me
I know You’ll heal
You made a way and
You always will

All of my worries
All of my doubts
All of my sorrows
I’m laying down
