Mythology #Poetry #Journey

nostalgia has a tendency to mythologize
first proposed in our revelries
later cemented in our minds
faulty recall of the past
produces a record of idolatry
the forever gone
the flawed infallible
the past always
an improvement on the present
if only time didn’t change
ignoring the natural laws
the law of time
the law of entropy

  1. I have mixed feelings about nostalgia. It can be a good thing in small doses, but living entirely in the past and thinking that nothing about the present is good–that’s the sign of an unhealthy mind.
