one day
the leaves are bright red
a golden yellow
an orange elysian
the next
the trees are bare
the sky is gray
the cold has returned

  1. Oh, please don’t rush the leaves off the trees! I’m doing all I can to savor every moment. Disc golfing yesterday, I just stopped and watched the leaves gently fall before hurling my disc…straight into a tree. I love fall, but the shift into winter…that’s not exactly as pleasant.

      • Ugh! Here in Western, PA, we’ve had low 70s and beautiful weather, so no rain storms to strip the trees. Taking time to savor it now that my son’s soccer season is over.
