this relentless rain
will not stop
until every cactus
blooms
until the waters
rise
flooding the streets
until the valleys
become streams again
until every dead place
resurrects to life
waters of life
touching the hard, broken ground

Love the use of anaphora here! The repeated “until” builds the intensity, the the persistent beating of the rain on the hard and broken soils (like our hearts), bringing for new life.

The imagery and symbolism you use to convey the theme of rejuvenation and transformation are powerful. Beautiful poem!
