Oh my stars!
I am a little late to the party on this book, but I have just started reading Ian Doescher’s version of “The Empire Striketh Back,” re-telling of George Lucas’s classic Star Wars (directed by Irvin Kershner) as if it was a Shakespearean play! The original movie’s story was written by Lucas and the screenplay was written by Leigh Brackett and Lawrence Kasdan.
This adaptation is SO funny!
I heartily recommend this one for some light “reading”!

Me thinkest I must get this! Buy, I must. As a teacher of Shakespeare and lover of Star Wars (yeah, just finished The Mandalorian last night), I might get this as a happy-end-of-the-school-year-to-me gift. Thanks for the recommendation!
