I loved Laura Dave’s thrilling mystery, “The Last Thing He Told Me.” There was some excellent character development and her way of creating the setting was superb.

Based on a lower rating by some than I would expect, maybe not everyone found this novel as enjoyable as I did. Some of the themes can be dark and maybe even hit close to home with recent scandals in the news.

For me, I was hooked from the moment I started reading the book. There were some great twists and turns and I felt more and more engaged as I continued to read. I really enjoyed both the writing and style of Ms. Dave and I thought the content and her method of creating suspense and tension were excellent.

I definitely recommend this one to any fans of mystery, thrillers and literary fiction.
