I was listening to Bethel Music’s latest album, Homecoming and came across this song, “Send Me,” featuring Jenn Johnson and Chris Quilala. It’s a song about the practical details of the calling that many Christians feel from God to go and do what He asks His followers to do. To love those around us. To pray for those who are hurting. To meet the needs of those in lack. There isn’t a guarantee of any reward or benefit, but it is a desire burning in the hearts of believers to respond to the brokenness in this life with compassion, following in the footsteps of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the example that he left behind.
