I just finished the first two books in Sarah Andersen’s “Sarah’s Scribbles” collection and they had me cracking up.
Ms. Andersen is a self-declared “sweater thief” and a hilarious cartoonist that draws comics covering introverted, women’s problems… mostly about being cold and needing a boy’s sweater to steal. Obviously, there are lots of other funny situations and struggles that she covers in her cartoons, but being a thirty-something-year-old, divorced man, with two daughters, I felt like I could still relate.
Before I was married, I didn’t hardly know anything about women. I had a brother, not a sister and a mom. I would say after being married for the better part of a decade, I have learned a lot of things, but wouldn’t say I fully understand women. I enjoyed reading and laughing at Ms. Andersen’s comics because I don’t think everything she covers is related just to women. However, there was much empathy to be imparted for those struggles.
