Alive & Breathing by Matt Maher featuring Elle Limebear #Inspiration

You matter. Your heart matters. Your thoughts matter. Everything you do matters. It is important. You have infinite worth.

Your heavenly Father sees you. He knows all that you are facing. He is with you. He is for you. He can see the child inside you. Don’t ever forget it. Run to Him! He is waiting for you with open arms.

My favorite parable that Jesus told is the story of the Prodigal Son. I have made some mistakes. We all have. The story isn’t about all the problems the son causes. It’s not a story about the son’s bad choices. The morale of the story is instead that no matter what you’ve done, no matter how far you’ve run away, no matter what you’ve said, the Father takes you back, just as you are, no groveling or shame required. He loves you completely because you are His daughter. He loves you completely because you are His son. His grace is enough.

Lyrics to “Alive & Breathing” by Matt Maher below:

Verse 1:
What holds your heart
What stirs your soul
What matters come to mind
The cares you keep
The thoughts you think
It’s not all wasted time
Seek and you will find

Chorus:
Joy still comes in the morning
Hope still walks with the hurting
If you’re still alive and breathing
Praise the Lord
Don’t stop dancing and dreaming
There’s still Good News worth repeating
So lift your head and keep singing
Praise the Lord

Verse 2:
Years roll by
We wonder why
We lost our way from home
Our Father finds
The child inside
We had left for growing old
Awake, awake, awake my soul

Bridge:
Let everything, let everything, let everything
Praise the Lord
In the working, in the waiting
Praise the Lord
In the blessing, in the breaking
Praise the Lord
