I drew this over the weekend with the kids. We love to draw and create art.
I feel like this is something one of them could have drawn and I am a little embarrassed of it š
I used colored pencils on paper for this drawing. I don’t claim to be anything special as an artist, but I do still call myself an artist. Self-taught š but I am not giving up or stopping. I want to continue to try and to learn and to fail and to ultimately create art that I love and I want to share with others.
What kind of art are you making?
– Jason

You do not have to be great to find great joy in the doing. ā¤
Right now I am trying to improve my simple drawings. Using pencil or gel pens.

This is a good reminder for us all, Jason. I like to remind myself that I am a runner, not because I am particularly fast, but because I run. And I am a poet, not because my poems are anything special, but because I write poetry. Thanks for sharing your art with us, and let’s all keep sharing whatever art we feel led to create – our world certainly needs it!

Very sweet. My daughter, who is now an accomplished artist, always surpassed my coloring and painting skills. That is fine-we had a good time creating together. šØš

I’d say keep going. I am a self-taught artist also, and sometimes I feel as if my art is kindergarten quality, but who cares.
