Has anyone else felt a little stressed, worried or anxious during these days?
A deadly global pandemic, civil rights abuses and unrest, rising unemployment, economic instability, a pending presidential election and general uncertainty for the foreseeable future are all simultaneously swarming around us.
Did I miss anything?
In response to these uncertainties, I was prompted to create this abstract painting.
What do you think? How are you feeling?

I’m feeling extra anxious and depressed. To the problems above, add that I lost my job. I’m in a bad place now.

We must keep believing there’s light at the end of this very long tunnel. Your painting seems to show a heart or mind divided?

It’s supposed to be a “brain.” Left brain, right brain, it signifies to me the logical and emotional parts of my mind. I think I was trying to show how both parts, almost in conflict are being bombarded and reacting in opposing ways.
I am working through it day-by-day.

Thanks artists must speak to the times we’re in. The problem for most of us is that we thought we were in control. This year has revealed how little control we have. Hoping and praying we all come out stronger on the other side.
