Shawshank Redemption, based on a short story written by Stephen King, is one of the greatest movies ever made. Directed by Frank Darabont, starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman among others, the film is one that you can watch over and over, and the story does not grow old.

There are many, many one-liners like the one above that says something important about life despite the vast majority of the film occurring among prisoners, many serving life sentences, and their reflections on life, freedom, and imprisonment.
