Depression-Era Peanut Butter Bread #Recipe #Journey #Quarantine

I just saw this online and totally want to try it this weekend while in quarantine with the kiddos.

I got the recipe from a Buzzfeed article.

Peanut Butter Bread


  • 2 cups of Flour
  • 4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1-1/2 cup Milk


  1. Preheat the oven to 325-350 °F.
  2. Stir in dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Mix in wet ingredients and any “extras” you may want to add like chocolate chips.
  4. Combine everything together into a bread pan.
  5. Bake bread for 1 hour.

I am excited to make this. I will let you know how it goes. I am more of a cook rather than a baker. But this recipe seems like it’s pretty hard to mess it up. It doesn’t say anything about a “high altitude” recipe so we shall see!
