So I took a few hours last night to brainstorm some themes for this year’s NaPoWriMo.
I came up with three themes that I want to explore this month:
- Relationships – Love, Connection, Health, Separation, Divorce, Isolation, Disconnect
- Freedom – Healing, Wholeness, Self-Care, Forgiveness, Letting Go, Starting Over
- Family – Kids, Daughters, Sons, Bonds, Cohesion
I am excited to have some general themes and topics to explore in my writing this month. I think connection vs. isolation will be an important topic as we all endure different stages of separation from others during the ongoing COVID-19 worldwide pandemic.
What themes are you interested in writing about? Share in the comments below.

Drug abuse, mental illness, familial trust/distrust, disturbing things, and isolation/loneliness.

You have a plethora of themes, topics to work from, Jason–I know they’ll birth great poetry 🙂 As for me, I’ll probably stay eclectic–since my A to Z Challenge has a faith-based (Christian) theme ❤

I tend to stick to family, mental health, recovery, parenting, gratitude and faith based stuff…life as I know it
