The Good Egg by Jory John and Pete Oswald #Children #BookReview #AmReading

I think I just found my new favorite children’s book!

I loved Jory John and Pete Oswald’s new book, “The Good Egg.” It is the tale of a verrrry good egg that feel the pressure to always be perfect all the time under he starts to crack under all that pressure.

He leaves the supermarket in search of a better way. I think I literally laughed out loud when i saw this spread:

It is two pages on self-care and I think I can honestly say I did everyone of these things in the past year or so. It is really funny.

After realizing that he doesn’t have to care for every other person in his egg carton, he returns with a brand new attitude.

Themes of this children’s book include the dangers of perfectionism, the need for self-care, and how to have realistic boundaries even while in close quarters with your loved ones.

This story was beautifully written and contained some important messages. Go check it out. Get your copy from Amazon here.

  1. This book looks adorable! Sounds like it has some great life lessons, too! I love that the book addresses perfectionism and the importance of self-care. Both are very relevant in today’s world. Great review! I’ll have to check this one out!
