
The 92nd annual Academy Awards are on tonight, Sunday, February 9, starting at 8:00 PM EST (and 5:00 PM PST) and will be broadcast live on ABC.
I was a bit disappointed with this year’s selections for Best Picture and don’t think any one in specific is particularly “special.” However, because I love watching movies and the fanfare that is the Oscars, I will definitely be tuning in. One of my favorite pre-Oscars activities is making my predictions for who will take home the prize in each category. Last year, I picked 15 of the 24 categories correctly, and notably missed the pick for Best Picture for Green Book, as I was enamored with Alfonso Cuarón’s black-and-white Spanish-language film, Roma.
A year later, I still prefer Roma over Green Book, but alas, my vote for the golden statuette is not tallied.
