Stirring up thoughts
Past and future

Hi Jason,
This poem is effective in describing what it’s like to be caught in that place in which we worry about tomorrow and look back at the past that we cannot change. The middle of the night is a strange time indeed-we’re supposed to be asleep but our minds keep churning! I keep the Book of Psalms on my nightstand and pray for help to be still. Being still isn’t easy. Your poem has captured this feeling.
Thanks Jenny! That is exactly what I was trying to portray. 😉
Wow, I use to relate to this. Insomnia and racing thoughts had taken a toll on me… Thank God, those days have ceased.
Wonderfully penned!
Thanks Beckie! Glad to hear you are over the insomnia
This one touches me !!
Because idk what sleep is when its dark outside ,, I’ll be thinking of every past mistake .. n planning to procastinate my work .. n then boom its 3am already .. 😶

Ah, I know the feeling. Middle of the night wake-up sometimes finds me wide awake before sleep overtakes me again.
That’s rough. Usually, it means I need to br more active during the day
