You read a book on how to grieve
Good for you
Did it make it easier?
Knowing what to “expect”
I hope you are feeling better now
My grief feels better
Every day I let you go
More of me
Returns

These final three lines define how grieving empties a bit of our feelings so we can rebuilding ourselves.

Wow, Jason!! I love this so much! Such a perfect capture of the slow but steady healing process! Reminds me of a theatrical fading of who you were back to who you used to be – brilliant! Please keep capturing your feelings and thoughts on paper for all of us to share with you!! Let your ink stain the paper with your feelings as a type of etching for your soul.
Your lines – “My grief feels better
Every day I let you go
More of me
Returns”
are so Awesome!!!
