I’ve been despondent
These past weeks
It must be the grief
Acceptance is
Grim and lonely
A clearer future
In some regards
A dim, blurry mess
In others
I don’t think I miss
Her
Rather the memories
That used to mean
Something
When they return
So does a bit of
Pleasure
Then the sadness
Grief is the most powerful
Emotion
I’ve felt
One that clings to me
And returns
Unexpectedly
Unannounced
