The next sketches in Heather Ross’ class on Drawing and Illustration Basics on Creativebug were a couple pencils and a few pushpins.
Some of the trickiest things when drawing more than one object is trying to keep them the same size. Angling the items helps, but it can also create an optical illusion, which works against you.
I am pretty happy with the end result for these.
What do you think?

I’m amazed, impressed–because I wouldn’t even try 🙂

Getting starting is the hardest part. If you don’t have any expectations, you will be surprised what you can actually do.

Good point, thanks–I usually have perfectionistic expectations, haha 🙂

Yeah, I understand… but everything you are good at took a lot of practice right?

Hmmm…I think God gave me exactly 2 1/2 gifts, and it didn’t feel like they took much practice, because since they were His gifts they came rather easily. I can cook and write…and some days I’m a good encourager 🙂 I’ve kinda fallen into that old person’s stereotype thinking: “too old, disabled to try anything new”–pathetic, I know! 🙂

I am sure you can do more than that… sounds like some of the things I love too… writing and cooking. I hope my blog is an encouragement too.

I wonder what your specialty is–what the kids ask for most… Yes, much cheaper…I haven’t gone out in years, and I don’t miss it 🙂
