“Our lives begin to end the day that we become silent about things that matter.” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Silence will not resolve any issues. Avoiding a problem won’t make it go away. I have found that avoidance has made problems in my life much worse.
Get to know why you are avoiding a problem. Understand what the underlying issues are. Are you afraid? Are you angry? Do you have unmet expectations?
Understand the story you are telling yourself. How does that story affect your interactions with those around you?
Don’t let your own insecurities get in the way of sharing your experiences and creating relationships with those around you. Don’t let what happened before hinder you from moving forward.

Hi! Thanks for your writing. It helped me to understand that silence or over praying is not always the answer or trying to avoid some troubles.
I mean sometimes I feel so lonely but still surrounded with people or just helpless but strong (because believing in God.) Wordless but full of stuff to be said.
Like there`s no-one to listen.
I mean I am been bullied. When I think about this situation, it looks like there`s no-one to to turn to, and I pray and pray – but don`t seem to have answers. My neighbors don`t let me live in peace and its hard to try to sleep at night. They make noises and even kick at my apartment walls sometimes or shout dirty things. I`ve called the police many times but they wanna help me.
I`ve been praying for the people of my home town. I`ve asked God to help them so that everyone could feel happy and relieved of all the spirits that lead them away from God or to hurt people.
Mmm… thanks.
(I found your site after watching a film in the youtube. The movie that I saw was called Old Fashioned by Rik Swartzwelder. There`s a scene where a couple is reading books in the library. They say out loud some random references from books and one of them is: “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” And then I googled it.)
