The Most High does not dwell
In houses made by human hands¤
Of Solomon’s temple in Jerusalem
“Destroy this temple,
And in three days
I will raise it up.”*
Jesus Christ, the resurrection and life
The eternal temple
That will never be destroyed

While it may be distressing for some, this fire at Notre Dame Cathedral should remind Christians of Jesus Christ’s words about the temple in Jerusalem and re-focus our prayers and perspectives.
