True storytelling reveals meaning without committing the error of defining it.
– Hannah Arendt

I love this quote. As a writer and a storyteller, it is so important to leave intrigue and loose ends that lead and draw the reader to what to know more, to use their own imagination to fill in the gaps, to surmise about the mystery of the unknown.

When you “define the meaning” for the reader then it does not allow for any room for their interpretation. It takes away the “journey” for them to make their own discoveries and insights about the problem or the situation. There is no personal growth for them to make connections and get understanding on their own.
