I have shed too much ink
On you
For now
The words came spilling out
Until
There were no more
If I no longer write
About how you hurt me
Does that mean that
I am finally over you?

I think it’s good to let go and not dwell, but healing is always a tedious undertaking. For me, at first there were more bad days than good. Then the scales sort of balanced out so the good and bad days were about even. And then came the time where I realized I was having more good days than bad. Because we share children (and because unfortunately mine is just not a very good human being) he still gets under my skin from time to time. Tries to make me feel as though everything was my fault, even though he was the one who was unfaithful. But I’m much stronger now than I ever was before and have learned I have the power to choose not to let him affect me. It’s kind of freeing, to be honest. I’m happy to hear you are getting closer to having peace. I know it’s been a long and difficult road to travel, my friend. 💙
