Breathe in, breathe out slowly, and count to ten. There is no rule book on how to cope when these things end. You may not feel it now, but things will get better, even if life doesn’t tell you when.
That’s the thing about moving on. You are never going to find a love quite like the one before. The key is to stop wanting the same things and embrace the things to come.
– Courtney Peppernell, “Pillow Thoughts”
This is some good advice. I really enjoyed reading Courtney Peppernell’s book of poetry, “Pillow Thoughts.” This quote is about how “time heals all wounds.” As cliché as it seems, it is true. Each day that passes, each new experience after the end of the relationship, things change but somehow things improve and get “better,” in the sense that you become more and more “over” it.
Letting go is a process aided by time as acceptance comes more and more each day. The grief slowly dissipates and you become more yourself as the process of individuation works itself out in your life and your future comes into focus.
Embrace the future. Embrace this period of learning new things about yourself, about your successes, about your failures, and then move forward with what you’ve learned with a new determination to do things differently.

And then I got distracted by the UPS guy and wrote “Tea” instead of “read.” Today is not my day for spelling…Haha 😂 Anyways, thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I’m actually a huge grammar freak, but I always look like I don’t know the first thing about grammar when it comes to typing on mobile devices because they like to think they’re more intelligent than me (l mean, they probably are but let’s not let them know that 😉) and change my words. And I’m so preoccupied with what I’m typing next that I just assume that the device kept what I initially inputted. So the morals of this story are (1) I should not assume things and (2) I should review my comments before I hit “reply.” 😂😂😂 Again, thanks for making the changes.

Haha… no problem. When are we going to get the technology that we can just think what we want to send and it types it out for us with perfect grammar?!
FYI – Your grammar in the above paragraph was flawless. Well done. 😉
